Senior Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

Geotab is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to explore and examine data from multiple sources to design and construct new data modeling processes using prototypes, algorithms, predictive models, and custom analyses.

In Short

• Implement new statistical or mathematical methodologies for specific models of data analysis.
• Provide expert project leadership as a SME.
• Create algorithms and predictive models to solve complex business problems.
• Conduct causality experiments to identify root issues.
• Identify new queries from Big Data infrastructure.
• Use machine learning packages to develop ML models.
• Develop automated data pipelines for scalable reporting.
• Test performance of data-driven products.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain metrics, reports, and dashboards.

Requirements

• 3-year US Residency is required.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• 5-8 years experience in writing SQL queries.
• 5-8 years experience in programming in Python.
• Experience with orchestration tools preferred.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Experience with cloud solutions preferred.
• Solid understanding of machine learning.
• Strong analytical skills.
