Product Security Specialist - Remote

Overview

Geotab is seeking a Product Security Specialist who will review existing/new/proposed products with a variety of source code, dynamic and dependency scanners, manual code reviews and security-based architecture reviews as required.

In Short

• Review existing/new/proposed products with various scanners and manual code reviews.
• Validate scanner findings by tracing source code for various code bases.
• Provide developer level suggestions for code remediation.
• Explain risk assessments at both technical and non-technical levels.
• Write and maintain scripts/code to automate security scanner execution.
• Contribute to secure coding standards and training.
• Perform technical writing of assessment reports.
• Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience with security evaluation/analysis and security code reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Security certifications highly preferred (OSCP, OSWA, OSWE).
• Experience using source code, dynamic and dependency scanners.
• Knowledge of programming languages and web service technologies.
• Able to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in complex code.
• Competent with Linux, Windows, GCE, bash, python.
