Geotab is seeking a Lead Vehicle Systems Engineer to focus on growing its world-class vehicle support, driving innovation and best practices in vehicle systems engineering.

In Short

• Oversee engineering efforts related to vehicle data product streams.
• Design best practices for vehicle communications regarding safety and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of vehicle systems.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
• Define overall architecture of vehicle systems during investigations.
• Manage system validation and verification activities.
• Provide technical expertise on vehicle system-related matters.
• Mentor other developers and guide key stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Work on-site a variable percentage of days per week.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with vehicle systems and communications architecture.
• Expertise in embedded systems and CAN bus protocols.
• Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics via OBD-II and J1939.
• Strong understanding of automotive software architectures like AUTOSAR.
• Familiarity with Automotive Ethernet and DoIP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Project management skills with a successful delivery track record.
• Ability to write SQL queries and Python scripts.
• Valid car driving license with at least 1 year of seniority.
