Head of Engineering - Remote

Overview

Boosters is a Ukrainian product company creating valuable EdTech and life-improvement products for 40 million people worldwide. We are seeking a Head of Engineering for our new product JustDone, an AI assistant for academic audiences that enhances the management of scientific papers, learning, and in-depth research.

• Lead the engineering culture focused on speed, flexibility, and quality.
• Translate business strategy into a clear technical roadmap.
• Ensure the achievement of product and business goals at the technical team level.
• Build effective decision-making systems in development.
• Mentor and lead the engineering team, including code reviews and onboarding.
• Make key architectural decisions for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product and design teams.
• Implement AI solutions focusing on ML/NLP.
• Ensure infrastructure reliability and set up DevOps processes.
• 5+ years of technical experience with a focus on backend development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical experience, preferably in Backend development with Golang.
• 2+ years in a leadership role such as Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
• Deep knowledge of web and mobile application architecture.
• Experience managing technical teams of 10+ members.
• Experience with AI/ML/NLP integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and DevOps practices.
• Technical experience with mobile products.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.
• Experience in startups or rapidly scaling products.
