Head of Engineering - Remote

Overview

As the Head of Engineering at Lit, you will lead technical strategy and execution for a digital platform aimed at improving literacy for K–2 students, especially in underserved communities.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering, with a focus on system architecture.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and backend frameworks.
• Familiarity with secure systems related to student data privacy.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Passion for improving student learning outcomes.
• Knowledge of Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, and similar technologies.
• Experience with ASR or speech technology is a bonus.
• Commitment to inclusive UX and ethical data use.
• Ability to design scalable systems.
