The Field Service Engineer Team Leader oversees a team of engineers, focusing on personnel management, training, and daily operations to ensure optimal performance in the automotive service sector.

In Short

  • Lead and manage a team of Field Service Engineers.
  • Achieve performance goals through objective development and employee reviews.
  • Host operational and performance review meetings.
  • Analyze data on FSE operations and generate management reports.
  • Train and manage FSEs on new product features.
  • Review regional cases for quality and provide coaching.
  • Foster relationships with Regional Management.
  • Manage expense reports and procure necessary tools.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction across multiple locations.
  • Work remotely from home in the southeastern MI area.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in managing a team.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Automotive Dealership Service Department.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship management skills.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or automotive technology preferred.
  • Current certifications in Automotive Service Excellence Tests preferred.
  • Knowledge of GM vehicle control systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
