Vice President of Billing & Reimbursement - Remote

Overview

The Vice President of Billing and Reimbursement is responsible for leading GeneDx strategies for billing operations and reimbursement optimization.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive billing and reimbursement strategy
• Monitor payer claim reimbursement trends and regulatory developments
• Collaborate with clinical leadership for accurate documentation
• Lead all aspects of the revenue cycle and denial management
• Ensure compliance with CMS, HIPAA, OIG, and payer-specific requirements
• Build and mentor a high-performing billing and reimbursement team
• Collaborate to optimize billing systems and process improvements
• Serve as liaison with billing vendors and regulatory bodies
• Minimum 10 years of experience in medical billing and reimbursement
• Strong leadership and analytical skills required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field
• 10+ years in medical billing and reimbursement
• In-depth knowledge of genetic test coding and payer policies
• Experience with billing platforms such as Xifin
• Certifications like CPC, CRCE, or CHFP preferred
