Country Requirements Manager/Officer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an engaged Country Requirements Manager/Officer who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment. This specialized role requires professionals who excel at deep, detailed document reviews, possess a keen eye for detail, and can maintain a global perspective.

In Short

• Perform thorough content assessments of national and regional normative documents against international FSC criteria.
• Evaluate documents for rigor and local adaptation.
• Conduct consultations with content developers.
• Present evaluation results in various forums.
• Coordinate assessment timelines and priorities.
• Participate in calibration sessions for consistent application of FSC requirements.
• Engage in FSC's internal competence and accreditation programs.
• Minimum MSc degree in Forestry required.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Exceptional editing and communication skills.

Requirements

• MSc degree in Forestry; additional degrees in related fields are a strong asset.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Forest Management or related areas.
• Strong document review and evaluation skills.
• Proven project management experience.
• Fluency in English; Spanish or French is a plus.
• Strong presentation and conflict management skills.
• Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relations.
