Direct-Response Copywriter (Growth & Landing Pages) - Remote

Overview

Freebird is one of the fastest-growing DTC brands in grooming and self-care, built on bold creative, high-performing funnels, and relentless experimentation. We’ve scaled into a nine-figure business by testing everything — ads, funnels, offers, landing pages — and doubling down on what works.

We’re now looking for a Direct-Response Copywriter to join our Growth team. This isn’t about writing one perfect landing page. It’s about constantly researching, testing, and iterating copy, messaging, structure, and offers to beat the control and unlock meaningful lifts in conversion, AOV, and revenue.

In Short

• Constantly research customer insights from various sources.
• Collaborate with teams to generate test ideas for messaging and structure.
• Treat landing pages as hypotheses to improve conversion.
• Write and iterate copy for high-converting landing pages and funnels.
• Work with the Growth LP Designer and CRO Strategist on testing.
• Partner with the team to frame and refine irresistible offers.
• Write multiple variations of headlines and CTAs for rapid testing.
• Balance direct-response copy with brand voice.
• Potential to expand into a Lead Copywriter role.
• Support retention campaigns and establish copy best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in copywriting, particularly in direct-response.
• Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization.
• Ability to analyze customer insights and data.
• Experience writing for eCommerce and landing pages.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and growth marketing strategies.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Creativity in crafting compelling offers and messages.
• Attention to detail and ability to iterate quickly.
• Knowledge of digital marketing trends.
• Ability to balance brand voice with direct-response needs.
