Overview

The Great Lakes Field Development Manager is accountable for the revenue, volunteer management, and planned activities for 3- or 4- chapter communities in Ohio and Michigan. The Foundation chapter network brings people together across the country to join in fighting blinding retinal diseases. Our chapters focus on three key areas: revenue, resources, and education. The Field Development Manager will encourage, promote, and achieve successful volunteer engagement, community relations, and ambitious revenue goals.

In Short

  • Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies.
  • Strengthen ties with corporate sponsors and volunteers.
  • Lead and engage in event committee meetings.
  • Proactively seek and connect with potential contributors.
  • Partner with internal teams to plan and execute events.
  • Establish and nurture a network of community relationships.
  • Recruit, guide, and activate volunteer leaders.
  • Host engaging chapter events both in-person and virtually.
  • Utilize the donor database for recording and reporting.
  • Manage community materials and collateral.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful event fundraising experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate volunteer groups.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel (20-25%).
  • Flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience with budget preparation and management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Deep commitment to the mission of the Foundation.
