Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our team, leading the development of embedded software for smart home products, enhancing the smart home experience.

In Short

• Lead design and development of embedded software for smart home products.
• Collaborate with teams to define software requirements.
• Implement software solutions in C using Real-Time Operating Systems.
• Develop on embedded Linux with Yocto systems.
• Create OTA update capabilities for firmware updates.
• Conduct testing and debugging for software reliability.
• Utilize Git for version control and JIRA for project management.
• Support CI/CD workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years in IoT and embedded product development.
• Strong experience in embedded software development in C.
• Experience with production quality embedded software.
• Proficiency with Real-Time Operating Systems and wireless communication technologies.
• Background in Linux systems and Yocto customization.
• Familiar with OTA update mechanisms and network principles.
• Understanding of cryptographic principles.
• Exposure to Git and JIRA.
