Principal Data Scientist - Remote

In Short

• Developing and integrating machine learning, computer vision, and large-language models into our processes and applications.  
• Collaborating closely with software teams to ensure seamless integration of AI models into business practices.  
• Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical leadership, ensuring alignment and understanding.  
• Utilizing Python and SQL to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data.  
• Employing tools like Jira, GitHub, and Dataiku (for managing AI data pipelines) to manage projects and workflows.  
• Utilizing Docker (desired) for containerization and deployment of models. 
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to conceptualize and implement compelling AI solutions.  
• Ensure AI models are robust, reliable, and optimized for performance.  
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices.  
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and computer vision.  

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience. 
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, with a strong portfolio of successful AI projects 
• Applied experience with training and refining Computer Vision models 
• Experience with Large Language Model integrations, especially Azure OpenAI. Prior experience with implemented RAG systems a plus. 
• Strong expertise in Python and familiarity with SQL  
• Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS or Azure, is a bonus.  
• Proficiency with tools like Dataiku (for managing AI data pipelines) and Docker is desirable.  
• Expert understanding of data manipulation, analysis, and visualization techniques.  
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and debugging skills.  
• Outstanding communication and collaboration capabilities.
