Director of Technical Accounting - Remote

Overview

Flywire is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to assist in revenue recognition and various technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and internal & external audits.

In Short

• Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting standards.
• Advise and consult with senior management on complex accounting matters.
• Review customer revenue contracts for appropriate revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with various departments on revenue recognition.
• Own ad hoc technical projects related to accounting.
• Prepare technical accounting analyses and documentation.
• Develop accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities.
• Prepare internal control documentation for compliance.
• Collaborate with auditors for successful audit results.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or multinational companies.
• Excellent understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to influence decision making across teams.
