Director of Technical Accounting - Remote

Overview

AlphaSense is seeking an exceptional accountant with multinational public company experience to lead complex GAAP accounting matters and prepare financial reporting for public market review.

In Short

• Lead implementation of internal controls for financial reporting compliance.
• Provide reviews, feedback, and whitepapers on accounting matters.
• Work with founders, CFOs, and external auditors.
• Manage accounting for M&A, equity, and revenue compliance.
• Prepare and review financial statements and audit schedules.
• Research and interpret accounting guidance.
• Participate in strategic financial projects and ERP upgrades.
• Manage the reporting team and focus on training and development.
• Stay informed of emerging accounting issues and risks.
• Ensure alignment with SEC rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including Big 4 experience.
• Experience with complex business combinations and M&A transactions.
• Knowledge of SEC Reporting and US GAAP required.
• Ability to draft accounting memos and coordinate with auditors.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in the technology/software sector is a plus.
