• Flock is looking for an Android Framework Engineer to join the Device OS Team.
• Responsible for developing code for headless custom Android devices.
• Deliver high-quality features and modules.
• Write automatable code and document work.
• Support issues reported in the field.
• Collaborate with program, product, QA, and other engineers.
• Contribute to system apps and services development.
• Participate in tech talks and feature negotiations.

Requirements

• Experience with AIDL/HIDL for service interfaces.
• Strong Kotlin/Java development experience.
• Knowledge of Android build system and API design.
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit and mockk.
• Familiarity with AOSP development and shell scripting.
• Strong debugging skills on custom Android hardware.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Git.
• Ability to trace app code through different layers of the stack.
• Experience with system app development methodologies.
• Nice to have: C/C++ skills and Linux kernel driver development experience.
