IT Systems Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Assist in managing servers, user accounts, and permissions across Mac, Windows and Linux environments.
• Support basic security measures like patching, antivirus, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Respond to and resolve IT service tickets, providing technical support to end-users.
• Help with network configuration and troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches).
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist in running and verifying backups and contributing to disaster recovery processes.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate new technologies and solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Serve as the IT Support technical liaison between cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
• Experience providing technical support to internal customers.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Proficiency in server administration and virtualization platforms.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of MacOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
• Awareness of basic security principles and antivirus tools.
• Experience managing Mobile Device Management systems.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
