IT Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

FileCloud is on the lookout for an experienced and hands-on IT Administrator to join our team in Canada. This role will lead and support our IT operations, ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong focus on cybersecurity, compliance, and operational excellence, aligning with industry standards and the nature of FileCloud’s business.

In Short

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure system reliability, performance, and security in a remote-first cloud environment.
• Oversee and optimize internal IT applications, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
• Implement and manage end-device security for company-owned devices and BYOD.
• Conduct vendor security assessments for IT operations.
• Evaluate, implement, and manage third-party applications for internal business use.
• Implement and administer SSO and access management for internal applications.
• Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and identity management systems.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC2.
• Define and enforce high-level IT security policies.
• Provide IT help desk support and manage a junior IT support staff.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, compliance, and security.
• Infosec qualifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) required.
• Goal-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong team player with a clear understanding of role boundaries.
• Expertise in device management for company-owned and BYOD environments.
• Proven experience in vendor security assessments.
• Hands-on experience implementing SSO and access management.
• Strong familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC2 compliance frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
