Android Engineer - Remote

Overview

This role is for an Android Engineer within the Life360 team. This person will be an integral part of the core of our app as they will be required to become experts in technologies supporting our highly visible mapping, communication, driving & safety features.

In Short

• Design and maintain robust frameworks for Android using tools such as Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, or other relevant frameworks.
• Create foundational automation workflows that lead to better product quality and reliability.
• Work with a cross-functional team and collaborate closely with design, back-end engineering, marketing, data science, and product.
• Roadmap innovative features to bring families closer together through contextual awareness, improved geolocation, and better communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong debugging skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Architecture mindset with strong understanding of software architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of the Android ecosystem and expert knowledge of Kotlin.
• Adaptable and able to pick up new concepts.
• Drive to level up and mentor junior engineers.
• A passion for quality and proven experience in developing automated test strategies.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams.
