Overview

The Director, Procurement will be an integral part of a mission driven global procurement team that negotiates Software, SaaS, Product, Data Subscription, Professional Services and other types of commercial/contractual Agreements that are critical to the global operations of First Advantage. This is a hands-on, leadership role for a seasoned procurement professional who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

In Short

  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers of Technology and Non-Technology products/services.
  • Establish and negotiate aim-high and bottom-line commercial positions.
  • Manage the Procure to Pay process ensuring timely payment.
  • Work closely with executives, legal, finance and department heads.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise/consulting on industry trends.
  • Manage a global team of procurement professionals.
  • Coach and mentor the team to improve their skillset.
  • Track and report on overall team performance.
  • Create a talent plan for each team member.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Technology or Finance.
  • 6-8 years of experience in commercial and contractual negotiations.
  • Deep understanding of common contractual language clauses.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and negotiate commercial positions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on procurement best practices.
  • Ability to hold teams accountable.
  • Significant experience coaching a global team.
  • Experience creating and executing business strategy.
  • Previous experience leading a small team of procurement professionals.
