Management Accountant (Longitude & Data Publishing) - Remote

Overview

The Financial Times is home to a number of smaller business units which focus on Thought Leadership and Content Creation. This role involves providing key management accounting and finance support for these units, particularly in a digital business environment.

In Short

• Preparation of Weekly Sales reports and project profitability analysis.
• Timely month-end processing and reporting of revenues and costs.
• Preparation of monthly revenue journals for accrued and deferred revenue.
• Monthly headcount and payroll reconciliation.
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Support in preparing quarterly forecasts for revenue and costs.
• Assistance with raising and reconciliation of sales invoices.
• First point of contact for external audit queries.
• Contribution of ideas to streamline processes and reporting.
• Ownership of process documentation and maintenance.

Requirements

• ACCA/CIMA part-qualified, or a degree in Accountancy or Financial Management.
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in finance.
• Confident communicator for interactions within the Finance team and other departments.
• Intermediate to advanced level of MS Excel skills.
• Experience with Google suite, Oracle Accounts, Anaplan, and Essbase is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with large financial data sets.
• Effective organization and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Great attention to detail.
• Proactive in understanding stakeholder needs.
