In Short

We’re looking for a Business Tax Engineer with deep expertise in U.S. business tax preparation.
This role will lead the development and refinement of business tax frameworks to train our AI models.
You’ll work closely with engineering, machine learning, and product teams.
We operate week to week with ruthless speed.
You’ll be responsible for establishing the business tax knowledge framework for AI training.
Must have expertise in U.S. business tax preparation and experience with major tax software.
We expect you to build an internal tax “oracle” to predict and solve issues.
You’ll earn equity and have full autonomy to make high-impact decisions.
We run reviews every 4 months with total transparency around pay and performance.
This isn’t just about preparing returns—it’s about building the backbone of how AI learns to do them.

Requirements

Extensive hands-on experience preparing and reviewing complex business tax returns.
Experience in designing structured workflows and decision trees.
Proven ability to identify errors and compliance issues.
Ability to communicate tax concepts to engineering and product teams.
Track record of designing innovative approaches to improve tax processes.
Must be proficient in major business tax software.
Comfortable working in spreadsheets for testing and documentation.
Experience with collaborative tools for process design.
Empathetic and curious, building for the user.
Detail-oriented but pragmatic.
