Overview

The Leave & Accommodation Specialist manages and supports FRHC’s leave of absence, accommodation, and workers’ compensation return-to-work programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies while providing excellent support to employees and managers.

In Short

  • Administer and track Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state-specific leaves.
  • Guide employees through the leave process.
  • Respond to ADA accommodation requests and facilitate the interactive process.
  • Manage and monitor accommodations for compliance.
  • Track workers’ compensation claims requiring leave.
  • Identify light-duty work assignments for returning employees.
  • Act as the primary contact for leave and return-to-work programs.
  • Train managers on leave policies and procedures.
  • Provide reports on leave trends and compliance risks.
  • Stay updated on FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation laws.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in leave administration or HR-related roles.
  • Strong understanding of FMLA and ADA laws.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
