Overview

The Leave of Absence and Accommodations Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Tempus AI’s leave of absence and accommodations processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws, and supporting employees throughout the leave process.

In Short

• Manage all employee leave types including FMLA, ADA, and parental leave.
• Act as the primary contact for employees and stakeholders regarding leave processes.
• Monitor leave requests for compliance with policies.
• Coordinate employee accommodation requests under applicable laws.
• Ensure accurate documentation of leave and accommodation activities.
• Collaborate with payroll and HR partners for tracking leave-related pay.
• Provide guidance and support to employees on leave policies.
• Create training materials on leave procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Work with legal counsel on complex cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in administering leaves and accommodations.
• Experience with state-paid family leave programs.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
