Senior General Ledger Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant at Extreme, you will support the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.

In Short

• Support daily operations of the U.S. accounting department.
• Perform General Accounting functions and operate the general ledger system.
• Create journal entries and month-end close work.
• Run allocation, elimination, and consolidation.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data.
• Interface with external auditors for timely audit requests.
• Assist in annual SOX compliance efforts.
• Prepare quarterly review and annual audit schedules.
• Oversee month-end close process for the Canadian entity.
• Improve systems and procedures for better efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience in a multi-national publicly traded company.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with Oracle R12 or Oracle Fusion preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
