Senior General Ledger Accountant - Remote

Overview

As our Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes under HGB and IFRS. You will be responsible for General Ledger (GL)-, Accounts Payable (AP)-, and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, ensuring accounting-compliance while optimising processes for our continued company growth.

In Short

• Consolidate and harmonise local GAAPs into HGB and IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with HGB and IFRS accounting standards.
• Drive continuous optimisation of fast-close processes.
• Prepare and coordinate audit activities.
• Develop and enforce internal accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead and contribute to project work related to accounting and finance.
• Provide analytical support and expert guidance to various departments.
• Reconcile accounts for consistency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in financial accounting.
• HGB knowledge is a must; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Proven project experience in accounting process improvements.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Netsuite.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Familiarity with international VAT and corporate tax is a plus.
• Consolidation experience is a plus.
• A mindset of continuous improvement.
