Overview

The Director of Revenue Accounting is responsible for overseeing the financial accuracy and operational efficiency for the agency business, focusing on revenue recognition, project accounting, and profitability.

In Short

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes.
• Develop procedures for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Oversee unbilled and deferred revenue management.
• Analyze and report on cost of revenue.
• Optimize invoicing procedures with Account and Project Management teams.
• Supervise project accounting work and provide guidance to staff.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Present financial data to senior finance members.
• Mentor and develop finance department staff.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and project accounting.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• CPA License preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O is a plus.
