Overview

ACT is seeking a passionate and outcomes-focused Legal Director to spearhead our legal and legislative efforts in advancing reproductive equity through telemedicine abortion care.

In Short

• Develop and implement legal strategies to challenge restrictive laws.
• Monitor legal landscape affecting telemedicine abortion access.
• Build coalitions of attorneys to protect access to abortion.
• Oversee legal challenges and litigation efforts.
• Advocate for legislation that supports telemedicine abortion care.
• Identify legal risks and ensure compliance.
• Serve as a spokesperson on legal matters.

• Supervise and mentor legal team members.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to and good standing with at least one state bar.
• Minimum of 7 years of post-JD experience in litigation or legislative advocacy.
• Proven ability to develop and execute legal strategies.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Exceptional public speaking and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
