Overview

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Equitable Bank’s existing customers through a variety of communication channels in both English and French.

In Short

  • Provide excellent customer service in an inbound customer service environment.
  • Support customers with mortgage inquiries by identifying needs and providing solutions.
  • Provide accurate information regarding products and services.
  • Fulfill customer expectations while complying with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in activities to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Process updates to mortgage accounts.
  • Meet quality criteria and customer service standards.
  • Recognize retention triggers for renewal and refinance opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inquiries and transactions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months of front line customer service experience in finance or mortgage industry.
  • Post-secondary education (diploma).
  • Knowledge of lending products and related legal terminology.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task and navigate various systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in English and French.
  • Strong active listening skills.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Experience with Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) product.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Computer literate (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).
