Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Systems Engineer at Motorola Solutions will lead customer presentations and manage system upgrades for critical communication technologies, ensuring the integrity of architecture and design.

In Short

• Lead customer presentations and system staging.
• Complete system documentation and live upgrades.
• Responsible for field engineering duties during upgrades.
• Deploy various devices including network gear and virtual machines.
• Customer-facing technical resource during upgrade efforts.
• Travel to customer locations primarily in western states.
• Experience in radio communication systems and IP networking is essential.
• Excellent communication skills required for presentations.
• Up to 50% travel required.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Networking.
• 3+ years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience.
• Knowledge of radio propagation and wireless technologies.
• Certifications like CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar are desirable.
• Experience with Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, or similar technologies.
• Ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in networking.
• Customer service experience is essential.
• Must be able to travel as required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
