Senior Data Center Operations Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Senior Data Center Operations Analyst is responsible for system monitoring, production batch monitoring, workload throughput as well as batch and system task abend recovery for internal and external client MVS / ZOS / VM/VSE environments.

In Short

• 12 hour “quad” (3 on 4 off/4 on 3 off) Nights Shift (6:30PM - 7:00 AM CT)
• 16 week rotation from front half to back half of week.
• Weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and Holidays required as per Shift Schedule.
• Monitor and manage internal and external MVS zSeries and VM/VSE environments.
• High level of interaction with internal and external customers requires effective communication.
• Complete daily shift turnover and customer checklists.
• Document deviations within the company’s designated Incident Management tool.
• Ensure system IPL, maintenance and backup processes are performed.
• Organize tasks to work independently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10+ years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years experience in IT and with system monitoring.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Strong written / verbal Communication skills.
• Designing skills.
• Analytical and Critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of mainframe (TSO, SDSF, TMS, QuickRef) and server scripts.
