Federal Director, Strategic Initiatives - Remote

Overview

The Federal Director, Strategic Initiatives will play a key commercial role in driving growth, partnerships, and strategic initiatives within the federal market. This individual will work cross-functionally to develop and execute strategies that align with our corporate vision and expand our presence within government agencies.

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow Energy Exemplar’s footprint within federal agencies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances within the federal government.
• Lead engagement with key government stakeholders, decision-makers, and industry partners to drive awareness and adoption of our software solutions.
• Provide expert guidance on federal procurement processes, compliance requirements, and market trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product development, and marketing, to align federal initiatives with company objectives.
• Represent the company at federal industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
• Develop high-impact presentations, proposals, and whitepapers to support business development efforts.
• Analyze and interpret policy and regulatory changes that may impact business opportunities within the federal sector.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in federal government strategy, business development, or related fields.
• Proven track record of sales success in leading strategic initiatives within the federal market.
• Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and procurement regulations.
• Strong network of relationships within federal agencies and industry partners.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
• Experience with federal IT, software, or technology solutions is highly preferred.
