Workers' Compensation Claims Representative - Remote

Overview

The Workers' Compensation Claims Representative will handle loss time claims primarily in New York, ensuring effective claims management and communication with various stakeholders.

In Short

• Handle loss time CCU level claims throughout multiple jurisdictions.
• Determine compensability and coverage issues for claims.
• Negotiate and complete settlements under management's review.
• Gather medical and factual evidence for claims.
• Coordinate activities of outside investigations.
• Manage outside counsel and litigation.
• Communicate daily with claimants, attorneys, and medical providers.
• Complete claims handling responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Work in a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
• Contribute positively to the Claims Department's vision and values.

Requirements

• 5+ years of NY loss time workers compensation experience.
• Experience with NY Employer's Liability claims is a bonus.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Active NY adjuster license is a plus.
