In Short

• Maintain, monitor, and optimize Azure SQL Databases, Elastic Pools, Managed Instances, and Azure VMs.
• Design and implement indexing strategies and statistics maintenance.
• Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and Azure Automation Runbooks.
• Assist with schema changes and T-SQL code reviews.
• Analyze execution plans and troubleshoot slow-running queries.
• Manage role-based access control and compliance settings in Azure SQL.
• Contribute to performance testing and migration projects.
• Participate in rotating on-call support and incident response processes.
• Monitor Azure SQL database performance and availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Hands-on experience managing Azure SQL Database and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Solid understanding of Azure Resource Manager and Azure CLI.
• Experience with Dynamic Management Views and Query Store.
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor and database monitoring tools.
• Experience with automated backup and maintenance processes in Azure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
