Software Engineer - Python Backend - Remote

Overview

As a Python Backend Developer at Egnyte, you will build and maintain Python-based services for high traffic and mission-critical products, collaborating with various teams to enhance integration and service delivery.

In Short

• Build and maintain Python-based AI/Integration services.
• Develop lightweight frontend layers using React or similar technologies.
• Work with the Egnyte AI team on Agentic Framework/MCPs.
• Collaborate with backend teams, product teams, and UX/UI designers.
• Influence the direction of Egnyte’s Ecosystem and product integration.
• Engage directly with partners to enhance communication skills.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Python Backend service development, preferably with Django.
• Knowledge in AI Services development and JavaScript/Typescript.
• Experience in REST APIs, Webhooks, and server communication techniques.
• Basic experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Understanding of databases and SQL, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in debugging multi-threaded applications.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and ELK stack.
• Strong sense of product ownership.
• Communicative English skills.
