Fieldwork Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Fieldwork Data Analyst at Echelon Insights will collaborate with partners and internal teams to ensure efficient data collection and quality execution of surveys.

In Short

• Work with research and data teams to collect and analyze survey data.
• Program and test surveys for accuracy and quality.
• Ensure effective data collection processes.
• Manage survey quotas and monitor progress towards deadlines.
• Conduct data quality checks using R.
• Assist in pricing and executing surveys.
• Collaborate with survey vendors.
• Utilize SQL for demographic sampling.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis at an agency or research firm.
• Background in statistics or original research.
• Interest in news, politics, and public policy.
• Strong data manipulation skills in R and MySQL.
• Experience with Python, Excel, and Tableau is a plus.
• Fast learner with attention to detail.
• Ability to suggest data collection strategies.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in survey research preferred.
• Knowledge of survey weighting approaches is a plus.
