Overview

The Regional Associate Director (RAD) is responsible for managing a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) in the area of Rheumatology, overseeing their regional team to ensure disease and product-related medical needs are being identified and met.

In Short

  • Manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs).
  • Ensure effective communication with Thought Leaders (TLs) and Health Care Providers (HCPs).
  • Participate in Field Medical Leadership meetings.
  • Translate medical strategies into individual performance objectives.
  • Develop relationships with Medical, Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Provide training and direction for MSL scientific interactions.
  • Oversee MSL support for clinical trials and studies.
  • Actively manage MSL performance assessments and coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with medical and legal guidelines.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive team culture.

Requirements

  • Terminal doctoral degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Rheumatology and clinical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in clinical or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience in field medical roles preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing projects and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills in spoken and written word.
  • Understanding of US Healthcare system and pharmaceutical practices.
  • Ability to navigate and lead in a matrix environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience.
