Associate Field Medical Director - Remote

Overview

As Associate Field Medical Director (FMD) in Japan, you cooperate closely with Medical Directors and field-based team, who function as an extension of our Global Medical Affairs organization. You are responsible for participating in local medical strategy development, and developing and enhancing medical science-based relationships with medical thought leaders involved in various phases of product development, as well as key medical organizations including treatment centers of excellence and established societies and associations.

In Short

• Develop and execute Japan Field Medical Plan with Medical Directors
• Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and establish scientific relationships
• Disseminate scientific information to KOLs and Healthcare Professionals
• Provide clinical presentations in response to unsolicited questions
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations to enhance patient enrollment
• Contribute to advisory board meetings
• Provide scientific support at medical congresses
• Ensure compliance with company policies
• Approximately 20-40% travel required

Requirements

• Advanced degree in clinical/healthcare specialty required
• 3+ years of field medical experience preferred
• Rare disease experience preferred
• Business-level English and native-level Japanese skills required
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills required
• Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule
• Ability to make impactful decisions
