Test Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Test Engineering role is responsible for ensuring that all applications, system products, projects, and solutions meet defined enterprise quality standards. Provide centralized, independent quality assurance services across the firm, including functional and non-functional testing for all products, services, and applications across businesses.

In Short

• Prepare, maintain and complete manual test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closure.
• Prepare, maintain, and complete automated test scripts.
• Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts.
• Review test cases / automation approach with customer to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback.
• Track test execution milestones, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines.
• Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success.
• Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
• Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; handle and maintain environment and data.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test cases.
• Responsible for process compliance & associated documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7+ years of related experience.
• Hands on experience in API/XML Testing and Selenium with Java.
• Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
• Experience in writing SQL queries.
• Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
• Experience with front-end & backend testing using Java and Selenium.
• Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.
• In depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes).
• Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box and both non-Blackbox testing, as well as regression testing.
