Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Remote

Overview

The SDET role specializes in development of capabilities and code to automate testing of the product or system under test. You will be part of a business-aligned development squad that specializes in building, enhancing and maintaining custom software and solutions supporting the business.

In Short

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality of software products.
• Work to understand software requirements as a squad member.
• Maintain automated tests that validate functionality.
• Identify and resolve defects and improve the overall software testing process.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) processes.
• Diagnose and remediate software defects.
• Stay current with new software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
• Responsible for system integration testing, including automation, of newly developed or enhanced applications.
• Review requirements and design artifacts, developing unit, integration and system test cases.
• Play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete results.

Requirements

• Proven min experience of 3-5 years with automated unit and integration testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands on experience in API/XML Testing and Selenium with Java.
• Experience in writing SQL queries.
• Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
• Experience with front-end & backend testing using Java and Selenium.
• Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.
• In depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle.
• Requires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team independently.
• Preferably from Financial domain.
