Overview

As a Senior Rust Video Engineer at DroneSense, you will be part of a team dedicated to enhancing public safety through innovative drone technology. Your role will involve creating and improving APIs using Rust, migrating existing APIs, and integrating with cloud services.

In Short

• Create and enhance RESTful, WebSocket, and MQTT based APIs using Rust
• Migrate existing APIs from C# to Rust
• Integrate with 3rd party cloud services
• Follow and evolve Rust development best practices
• Test and validate API changes and integrations with drones

Requirements

• 4+ years experience with Rust
• 2+ years video programming experience
• Experience with FFmpeg or GStreamer libraries
• Rust FFI to C or C++ experience
• Familiarity with WebRTC, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, SRT protocols
• Experience programming at Network Layer 4
• Ability to work well in a team and on individual projects
• Passion for drones, robotics, and supporting first responders
