Baker - Remote Camp Operations

Overview

The Baker is responsible for producing all sweet and savoury bakery products for both the bagged lunch program and daily menu service in a remote camp setting.

In Short

• Responsible for producing bakery products for meals
• Manage production planning and quality standards
• Work in a remote camp setting with provided amenities
• Produce scratch-made cookies, pastries, and breads
• Ensure food safety requirements are followed
• Complete HACCP and production logs
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Work on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
• Starting wage of $23.47 per hour

Requirements

• Current Food Safe certificate
• Experience in large scale camp cooking
• Red Seal or other certification is an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High standards in maintaining cleanliness
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job
• Experience in accurately producing weekly inventories
• Self-starter with minimal supervision
