Applications Support Engineer (Level 3) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an Applications Support Engineer (Level 3) to join the team at dxFeed, a leading provider of data services for the capital markets industry.

In Short

• Work closely with Support, QA and Development teams.
• Deploy, install, configure and maintain trading/finance software.
• Work on UNIX/Linux OS administration.
• Deploy and configure cloud-based servers.
• Make decisions for scalability and reliability.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.
• Guide and mentor Tier II engineers.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems in environments.
• Communicate with clients and partner engineers.
• Implement automation activities to improve processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux administration.
• Experience as a Tier III Support engineer.
• Strong OS-level administration experience on Linux/UNIX.
• Hands-on scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Groovy.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and ISO/OSI stack.
• Experience with networking (routing, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good command of English (written and verbal).
