Overview

The Applications Support Engineer (Level 3) will work closely with Support, QA, and Development teams to set up, configure, and maintain applications as part of the infrastructure, focusing on trading and finance software.

In Short

  • Work with Support, QA, and Development teams.
  • Deploy and maintain trading/finance software.
  • Manage UNIX/Linux OS and cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement automation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and solve critical application problems.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation.
  • Guide and mentor Tier II engineers.
  • Communicate with clients and partners.
  • Suggest improvements for technical processes.
  • Ensure 24x7x365 coverage for critical issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of UNIX/Linux administration experience.
  • Experience as a Tier III Support engineer.
  • Strong OS-level administration skills on Linux/UNIX.
  • Experience in Amazon compute cloud.
  • Hands-on scripting experience with Bash, Python, and/or Groovy.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and ISO/OSI stack.
  • Experience with Apache, Nginx, HAproxy, and Envoy.
  • Networking experience (routing, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Elasticsearch, Grafana, etc.).
