In Short

• Lead legal counsel for Medtronic's Canadian legal team.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, health, privacy, and competition law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Support business opportunities and mitigate legal risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on legal and business issues.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with external counsel as necessary.
• Must be a member in good standing of a Canadian Bar/Law Society.
• 2+ years of legal experience required.

Requirements

• Law Degree from a Canadian law school.
• Experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Bilingual in English and French is preferred.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and good judgment.
• Project management skills.
• Experience in the medical device or life sciences sector is a plus.
