Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

Deputy is a global SaaS remote-first workforce management company looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team for a 12 month fixed term, parental leave cover contract. The role involves managing complex accounting standards and ensuring financial integrity.

In Short

• Primary point of contact for technical accounting matters including IFRS15 and Capitalised Development Costs.
• Perform analytical reviews of monthly financials and investigate variances.
• Support month-end close processes including accruals and revenue-related journals.
• Develop and improve internal billing controls for revenue recognition.
• Prepare global tax filings for indirect tax obligations.
• Assist with billing audits and process improvement initiatives.
• Support the external group audit with key workpapers.
• CA or CPA qualified with 5+ years’ experience in accounting.
• Experience in fast-growing tech or startup environments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge required.

Requirements

• CA or CPA qualified.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting, ideally within SaaS.
• Experience with global tax compliance, especially US Sales Tax.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, IAS 38, AASB 16.
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes.
• Analytical and proactive, comfortable working across time zones.
