Product Compliance Counsel - Remote

Overview

Deputy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Compliance Counsel to guide legal and business strategies, manage risk, negotiate commercial deals, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations globally.

In Short

• Own end-to-end compliance legal strategy for Deputy’s product.
• Monitor changes to labor and employment laws across U.S, Australia, and UK.
• Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS and commercial agreements.
• Create and deliver compliance training programs.
• Implement policies for compliance with developing laws.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and provide legal guidance.
• Manage external legal resources as needed.
• Conduct legal research to support business decisions.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, preferably in SaaS.
• Familiarity with U.S. wage and hour laws.
• Experience negotiating business transactions.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills.
• Excellent business acumen and people skills.
• Alignment with Deputy’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and strong organizational skills.
• Outstanding references.
