Retirement Plan Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Retirement Plan Specialist (RPS) will work on a team with other retirement plan professionals to support the service needs of our retirement plan clients and investment advisors.

In Short

• Serve as the single point of contact for retirement plan sponsors and investment advisors.
• Build strong relationships with clients and advisors through delivery of our value propositions to ensure satisfaction and longevity.
• Ensure ongoing client satisfaction and client’s willingness to be a reference.
• Utilize strong communication and service skills to ensure customer delight.
• Know and understand Definiti’s business model, strengths and product offerings.
• Represent the company on client calls and in client meetings, as needed.
• Work with clients on a periodic basis to “check in” (gather census data, signed amendment, provide industry news, etc.).
• Scrub Census, review eligibility, asset reconciliations and tax filings.
• Communicate compliance results, calculations and tax filings.
• Assist clients with day-to-day questions pertaining to their plan.

• Must be detailed and possess strong organizational skills.
• Time management focused adhering to deadlines and timelines.
• Proficient with numbers and basic calculations.
• Solutions oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand plan documents (Basic Plan Document, Adoption Agreement, Summary Plan Description (SPD), Amendments, Summary of Material Modifications (SMM) and annual notices).
• Understand the annual lifecycle of plan (data collection, eligibility, compliance testing, trust accounting and Form 5500 preparation and filing).
