Overview

As a Payroll Specialist at Deel, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process for clients in Mexico, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with local tax laws.

• Manage payroll processing for multiple clients in Mexico.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (IMSS, ISN, ISR).
• Prepare and process journal entries and verify data.
• Handle payrolls for stock options and sales commissions.
• Lead day-to-day payroll activities as an expert.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Manage payroll calendars and reporting requirements.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Adhere to escalation protocols and follow-up procedures.

Requirements

• Fluent in English.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican payroll and tax regulations.
• Ability to analyze tax issues and recommend solutions.
• Knowledge of annual payroll processes and reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with tax software and authorities' portals.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
