Senior Backend Developer (Python/FastAPI/GCP) - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Backend Developer at Darwoft, you will be responsible for designing and building backend services for a fintech project focused on cross-border payments, using Python, FastAPI, and Google Cloud.

• Design and build REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Implement backend logic for managing user data.
• Work with relational databases like CloudSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Integrate with third-party identity/auth providers.
• Define API contracts with frontend engineers.

• Deploy services on GCP using Cloud Run and other tools.
• Apply strong security practices for PII handling.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Understanding of relational database design.
• Experience building secure APIs processing PII.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Docker.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience in fintech or identity-driven platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems is a plus.
• Experience with auditing and compliance systems is a plus.
