Customer.io is looking for a strategic, hands-on IT leader to join our globally distributed team. This senior individual contributor role shapes the IT systems, processes, and tools that keep our business secure, efficient, and scalable—while delivering a seamless employee experience worldwide.

In Short

Lead the design and execution of IT systems and processes focused on security and scalability.
Partner across teams to review workflows and implement solutions for rapid growth.
Provide day-to-day technical support including software provisioning and hardware troubleshooting.
Collaborate to optimize onboarding and offboarding IT workflows.
Maintain IT infrastructure including user management and security policy enforcement.
Implement identity and access management and single sign-on across systems.
Partner with Security to adhere to internal controls and standards.
Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across systems.
Align IT strategy with broader business priorities.

Requirements

7+ years in a senior IT role, ideally in a fully remote SaaS company.
Hands-on experience with cloud-first environments and endpoint security.
Proven ability to partner across business functions.
Strong influencing skills to drive alignment.
Curiosity about emerging technologies to improve IT efficiency.
Experience with SaaS IT tools and MDM solutions.
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance preparation.
Experience with security incident response and risk assessment.
Excellent troubleshooting skills on macOS and Windows systems.
A collaborative, customer-first mindset.
